I had this for less than a year and rarely open it up. Today I tried opening and it broke. Has anyone had this issue? I contacted bakflip to see if there's a fix with it. Still waiting to hear back.

The company is going to send me a replacement latch. FYI for anyone who has a problem with theirs.

I received a replacement. After taking the latch off, the swedge that held the cable wasn't properly crimped and was just laying in there so I reused it without having to replace the whole thing. Only thing is I had to take out all the screws on both latches and cable cover so I could reach the cable to the latch. It was pretty easy fix. Just fyi if anyone has trouble
with theirs.

Thanks for the follow up! Ive got an MX4 and wondered what would happen if that latch ever broke.

Glad to see this has a happy ending!

Thanks for the update.
I really like their customer support. I have a rebranded one and I contacted asking about the machine screw size as a couple of mine had rust on them already (less than a year old) as I was going to buy stainless steel ones. And they responded by stating they would replace the whole buckle kit. That is great service.
