Do you know if there is a built in self test for the hvac? I’m 750 miles from my laptop and forscan cable and my ac quit working…

could be debris/failed condenser but I also noticed the negative battery cable had loosened slightly (thanks dealer). Given how finicky the BCM was I was praying correcting this and pulling the battery to clear any codes would restore it, but no dice. Checked relay, fuse in engine bay and they are fine. Clutch just not engaging so assume either low pressure or thinks it is low pressure.

No gauges on the island of course.
You will need a code reader (Forscan) to retrieve the DTCs) or a Freon gauge set to check pressures.

Yeah I thought the relay click would be audible, but I retested and can feel the relay clicking. found connector on the compressor, no dice. Disconnected, reconnected, and nothing. Will pull my multimeter out to confirm voltage is coming in to the compressor, but I'm assuming the compressor or clutch itself has failed. Tried the ole percussive maintenance on the front. Spins freely.

Fuse F22 in the BJB (battery junction box) feeds the AC compressor clutch, if you want to check that fuse.

yeah that one I swapped with a neighboring 10amp (think lighting control), no change. Will confirm continuity (though it did appear complete/connected).

If there's power at the compressor connector, guess it is the coil. OEM coil is like $250 for the set off rock auto, but I see a $95 no name on amazon. Think I may roll the dice on that and try to replace while it's still in the car before giving up and farming it out to a shop
