Hey Ranger fans its The_Stranger_Ranger,

I’m wiring up four Nilight 5.7 Inch Round 50W LED Driving Lights to my 2022 Ford Ranger and want to combine the wires into a single 30A rocker switch to control all of them. Each light comes with its own relay, fuse, and 6AWG DT connector wiring harness, but I need help figuring out the best way to combine the connections.

Here’s what I’m planning so far:

  • Use a 4-to-1 DT connector splitter to combine the wiring from all four lights into a single line to run to the 30A rocker switch. DT 4-to-1 Splitter
  • Run 8 AWG wire from the splitter to the switch, with a 30A inline fuse for safety.
  • I’m using a 30A rocker switch to control everything: 30A Rocker Switch
  • The lights I'm using are: Nilight 50W LED Driving Lights

My specific questions:

  1. What parts do I need to reduce the four DT connectors down to a single connection that will run to the switch?
  2. Once I have the single connection, how do I properly wire the DT connector to the switch? Do I just crimp the wire into the switch terminals, or is there a specific connector I should use?

  3. If my switch lights up when it’s activated, how do I power the light on the switch? Is this something that will happen when I turn on the lights themselves, or do I need an additional wire to power the switch’s LED?
  4. How should I set up the 8 AWG wire from the lights to the fuse and relay? What’s the proper way to connect everything to ensure the fuse protects the system, and the relay controls the power flow correctly?
  5. How do I wire a new relay (bypassing the ones that came with the kit)? What’s the correct way to wire everything from the DT connector to the new relay, and how do I ensure the relay works with the rocker switch to control all four lights?

thank you. any advice or redirection will help!
