Anyone wired up chase lights to the rear of the truck? I have a set of Diode Dynamics SSC1 coming and was originally just going to use them as reverse lights (wired to a switch and not reverse) and camp lights when needed. I decided to get a set with red backlights and thought I could wire up the backlights to the parking lights so they would be red when not in use. Would tapping into each taillights parking light wire be an issue?

I mounted a 20" chase light bar...reds are connected to brake with a 4x pulse module...amber connected to turns...white can be used for backup but I didn't bother...it comes with a remote to enable different strobe patterns for chase lighting...these were so bright that I covered them with a dark tint as to not blind drivers behind me... ?

To answer your question, tapping power from your taillamp should pose no issues...providing that you don't overload the circuit with a giant spot light...

What 3 lights are you using under the tailgate? I was wanting to do the same.
