Yes, I believe you're right.

Spark plugs: SP-578 Torque: 106 inch pounds (12 Nm) (Part number SP- 578 has been superseded by Part number SP-594)

No. Most quality plugs these days use a special plating that provides corrosion resistance. The use of an anti-seize can actually cause over-tightening of the plugs.
