That greenhouse is very nice and has got me wanting to build one now. I started gardening and raising chickens this year. Never thought I would be doing this ten years ago but it seems I started just in time.
Thank you! Ever since @Doc first posted pics of his plants in containers of one type or other, I’ve been wanting to give it a try.
I love my greenhouse & I have a lot to learn. Mainly, balancing temperature & humidity.

Husband has been very supportive. Now if I can talk him into letting me get those chickens I’ve been wanting!?
If you build a greenhouse, please share your temperature & humidity solutions. I think it’s going to be an ongoing thing for me. Thank goodness mine is small.:LOL:

I've found full grown chickens to be really no work at all. Taking care of a cat is more work. Cheap too, I'm at a $14 bag of layer feed every month for 8 chickens. Aside from keeping the water and feeder full, all I do is open the coop door in the morning and shut it at night. And there are automatic doors you can buy even. They are funny to watch and feed treats to and pet. I handled them since chicks so they are very docile.

Only thing is I had to fence in the garden and sometimes one will still get in by jump flying up to the fence pole. Garden needs a tall fence as 4 feet is nothing for the hens. The rooster can't jump that high and he gets mad when the hens go off where he can't get to them haha. So he alerts me that one is in the garden.

Ok. I know this is a Ranger forum, so I included a pic of my Ranger observing my garden/greenhouse.

I finally received my automatic vent opener that opens when a certain temp is reached. This will come in handy when we go out of town & hopefully my plants won’t burn up.

I did decide to put hoops over my raised beds to prevent frost killing the plants.

What is a greenhouse without plants? I finally put some in there. I’m doing a lot of experimenting. Trying to save a couple of cherry tomato plants & a pepper plant that were almost killed by a light frost we had a couple of weeks ago.

Notice the Minecraft piñata (it’s empty). That is my Grandson’s contribution. :inlove: I’m trying to get him interested in gardening. So far, so good!

Finally, trying to sprout some peach seeds for my husband.
:)

More to come….Sorry!:LOL::turkey:

I had these plants in my raised beds. In Oct., we had a light frost. These three were barely alive. Rescue them. Transplanted into pots & moved to greenhouse. I wish I had pics of how bad they looked.
But, look at them now! Maybe not plush & beautiful… but producing! :)

Tomatoes are looking great, good job on saving them. As for the bell pepper, you could have left it outside and let it die the death it deserves.

That's amazing, usually they can't come back from that.

You're quite the gardener!

Also, the raised Ranger bed is not a good place to plant things, even though it has good drainage.

Oh, I don't know, maybe Dave can come up with a high tech damper for the tailgate to control humidity and temperature!

Went crazy when planting tomato seeds. Wound up with 40 tomato plants - giving 10 away. Had to purchase overflow greenhouse.? Put bigger one up to move tomato plants, bell pepper plants, lemon tree, & red grapefruit tree in, plus various household plants. Had to make room for starting seeds for my raised beds.

Were they seeds from a "store bought " peach? If so it might have been from hybrid fruit. Commercial apple varieties are typically produced from grafted plants and the seeds usually won't sprout- I don't know if it's the same for peaches. Maybe try a germinated seedling from a greenhouse?

They were from some peaches grown on a property we own. We didn’t plant the tree so not sure if hybrid or not.
I definitely will get a seedling from a nursery next time. I was “experimenting”.?

Two? I wasn’t expecting so many seeds would make it!
I’ll be sharing with family & friends.
Also, you in particular will be glad to know that those bell pepper plants are thriving!:turkey: Might have to check into shipping costs to California.:giggle:
