Great start. Be careful it's addictive once you get started. I started with 2 raised beds and now up to 35. Check out Baker Creek Seeds. They have an awesome catalog with many heirlooms they bring back that have flavors you just can't fi d commercially. Good luck and compost will give amazing results.

Thank you for the tips! I have a lot to learn and I’m excited about it. My composter is taking it’s sweet time, but I’m trying to fill it with all good things.? I will check out Baker Creek Seeds.

This is what compost can do to veggies. I pulled the end of season beets today and all but one were normal size. This one is 5 pounds. What a surprise.

Best to buy a couple cubic yards to get started.

I’m kidding. I have some, just want my composter to be ready for the spring planting. I hope mine does as well as yours!

Do you use hoops over your raised beds?

No I just wait until after frost to plant. Things like beets and carrots can stay out until the ground freezes. In your climate hoops may stretch the season out some.

Dang, 2 yrs? I better be buying up some compost! I don’t think we have anything like that in our area, but I’ll find out. Thank you so much for the info!

Husband installed power outlets in greenhouse for me (waterproofed). Nothing slack about that man! I’m going to need it. It’s in the high 70’s & 80’s and the temp gauge has gotten up to 120. It’s 106 with the vent, louvered window (we put that in Monday), & the door open!
Going to be interesting ?
Also placed some little LED lights. Picture of them not great. No plants in there yet. I have to figure out temp & humidity control so I don’t kill them!

That greenhouse is very nice and has got me wanting to build one now. I started gardening and raising chickens this year. Never thought I would be doing this ten years ago but it seems I started just in time.
