I went down a rabbit hole after the 25 Mav info was released, mostly out of curiosity with potential purchase in a few years after my need for a midsize truck goes away.

The basic info about it is available, so I won't belabor that stuff. I like the updated tech and hybrid AWD. Here is info I have mined out about the options.

*The price is sneaking up, as expected, so no low 20k price tags any more.

*FX4 requires the ecoboost engine, but even if you buy a Lariat with ecoboost, you can't add the FX4. No idea why. If I were in the market, that would keep me from ordering one.

*Tremor can't get the 4K tow package because of the softer suspension. That's a bummer it seems, though I understand why now.

*No opinion or info on the LOBO, other than it seems like the Ford version of a "ricer" :)

I'd still be more inclined to want a real 4x4, but there's a few years to see where it goes.

I'll be downsizing to a Maverick eventually as well. I miss the practicality of my 4G Ranger. I was hoping the rumors were going to be true of there being an extended cab & longer bed on the '25 model.
I'll never own a Lariat just on principle, but the FX4 isn't available on the XL either. :(.
If I was forced to buy today I'd be getting a AWD Hybrid and putting a level on the front end and AT tires on it as he 40mpg would be nice.

There were 2 youtube 'review' videos I watched. 1 said there would be a 5' bed (there isn't) and one said there would be a PHEV (there isn't).

I'd love a AWD scab with 5.5' bed. I'd love even more if it had PHEV, and then I'd be buying one now if it also had real 4x4. I'd probably be 1 person out of, maybe, 2 who would want that, so can't see why they won't build one!

I have a 2019 Ranger Lariat with a 7 year ESP. I'll be mid 70's by then and will be very interested in the Maverick. I would love to see it as a PHEV when that time comes.
