Mat Anchor Points on Rubber Lining

I am looking for rubber mats that will form-fit into the rubber lining inside my ford ranger Xl SuperCab. When I bought it used, it only came with mats in the back. The rubber lining in the interior means that there are not the usual buttons to attach mats on to the front floors. I want a set of mats for the front but don’t want them sliding around.

What mats would you recommend for me to put in front?

Here's a clip. You cut 2 slots, slip the rectangular flat part under the rubber mat and clip it together, leaving the button part exposed to clip the floor mats to.

I bought OEM floor mat take-outs and used 4 zip ties(2 each side) under the front two seat bolts to hold them in place. At 31,xxx miles it works like a charm.

Mine came with factory mats that didn't quite have the coverage I liked. I purchased Tuxmats. I haven't used the fasteners yet and they stay very well in place with great coverage. Costco sell them under another name, cheaper but same mat. I plan to fasten them in properly.

I have Weather Tech mats that came with the truck, they aren't bad, I'd rather Smartliners.

My guess is that any mats you find will likely have those pointy cleats on the underside, which help them grip carpet. I know my Husky liners have them. I’m not sure they would work as well on your vinyl floor, which is really a giant door-to-door, laser-fit floor mat all on its own.

Which leads me to wonder why you need floor liners.

I have the Weather Tech mats and they seem to be fine w/o the stick down pegs they came with.

I had the same issue finding decent mats, and ordering from vwcarmats.co.uk worked out well for me since they fit my VW without any weird gaps. The free delivery over £30 was a nice extra, and the site was simple enough that I had them in my cart and ordered in a couple of minutes.
