I finally got a chance to test drive a manual Bronco a few months ago. The first to second shift was smooth if you slow shifted it, but everything after that was buttery smooth. I am on a wait list for a 2024 Bronco Badlands with the manual transmission. So far, Ford has politely denied building my configuration.
It's a seemingly doable swap in the Ranger, but will require some patience. One unknown is what options are for turning off the automatic transmission settings in the pcm calibration and enabling the manual transmission settings. I would want to see that first before getting into the mechanical bits.
