Anyone know where the Mass Air Flow Sensor is located on our 2.3 ecoboost engines? Thanks in advance

It's right outside the intake box. It's in this install video:

There isn't one. Ford hasn't used those in years.

Really, I stand corrected.

I believe the ecoboost is a speed density system that uses a MAP sensor instead of MAF.

Is the MAP sensor cleanable(MAF spray) like the MAF sensor?

They are very different sensors and there should never be a need to do anything to the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor reads atmospheric pressure as opposed to air flow.

A MAF sensor measures air flow by the cooling effect of air flowing across a heated wire or surface. A film build up of oil from the PCV system will insulate the sensor giving inaccurate readings to the ECU. This is the reason for the periodic cleaning requirement.

A MAP sensor measures pressure via a port into the device. It would have to become plugged up to stop measuring pressure changes. I suppose you could try and clean one out but not sure how effective it would be and I have never heard of one not working because it was plugged up.

Thanks for the informative responses. I'll leave it alone and focus on something else like transmission fluid level. Truck runs great, just have an itch to work on it
