2021 Ford Ranger Tremor with 32k. I'm NOT the one who figured this out. The members of this Forum figured this out and it appears to be a common issue. Thank you RangerBill for pointing me in the right direction.

I've had this issue since about 7k miles ago where the truck started to surge at very low speed at very small throttle openings. Felt like the truck was lugging a tall gear. Very annoying. It also made it hard to drive slow in traffic. I tolerated it for a while because I was too lazy to ask in here.

This is the original thread that gave the details on which part to replace: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...mbly-replacement-write-up-lb5z-9j433-b.29247/

I bought my part from Amazon and it was the sensor and upgraded hoses. The sensor is the same FoMoCo sensor but they blocked out the name. But same manufacturer of the part, and is identical to the OEM part.

It was an easy install. Hardest part was squeezing the hose clamps to release the hoses. Because they are located in back of the engine and it's dark down there. With this new sensor and hoses installed, the truck is back to being perfect again. Super smooth throttle response even at low speed.

There were no instructions. The link to the thread on this website above has detail instructions. But anyone who can do oil changes can do this replacement. 1 bolt, 1 electrical connector, and two hose clamps. You will have to reach way back there so I had to use a thick blanket over the front of the truck to lay my body on. I didn't get to the point of cussing.

The surging issue started on my truck around 25k miles and 4 years old. I honestly thought it was the transmission because it felt like it was lugging a tall gear. It was annoying at its worst. But it takes away my enjoyment of driving the truck. Now it's like new again. I love this truck!
