I have a Prodigy P2 in my garage that I don't need and will sell for about half of the new price. PM me if interested.

I went with the Redarc Liberty because I liked the install in place of the left 12v outlet. The Redarc setup was ~$170 at Etrailer.
Also what I went with. I don't think having to use your phone is a good idea. I want a more professional approach.

What the heck is this? Its just above the hood release handle, is it supposed to indicate that the trailer brake controller wires are behind this panel? It looks like the back of a trailer with an electrical signal in it but if you feel up underneath there isn't anything there.

Ahhhh, thanks! Just found it in the owners manual. So you pull on that "handle" If you can call it that to access the fusebox and more importantly the trailer brake controller wiring? I'm obviously too focused on trailer brake controller wiring since it looked like a trailer with an electrical connection inside....

The trailer wires are under the dash to the left. Dropping that panel will just get in the way. Some XL trucks don't have the pre-wiring for the TBC. I've not seen a definitive guide as to which have them and which don't. Check your truck, so you can plan accordingly. It's definitely possible to install without the pre-wiring, but it'll involve more time and more wire.

Finally got around to looking under the dash in my 23 XL, sure enough there were two small blue tape bundles that I undid and that freed up the wires. You can see the 4 wires separated from the bundle here (with heat shrink on the ends)
