Hello folks,

I just acquired 2021 Lariat w/ Tremor recently and I've been extremely quick to buy plenty of the recommendations people have made on this forum. One of the items I bought is the M2M lower grille insert to help protect and fill out that empty space. I did this because I figured I'd rather have the protection now even if I'm not going to install a light bar until later. However, I've started to look into different light bar options and had some questions.
- This first one might be stupid but is there any way to have both a light bar and keep the M2M lower grille insert? Given that I have ACC, I would be looking at the 6" stage series to go on either side. However, I would think that there would still be a lot of that empty space exposed without the grill insert
- If I wanted to keep the lower grille insert, what are my other options for lighting in that area? Is fixing pod lights to that lower area something that's feasible?

Essentially just hoping people have had the same issue and have devised solutions to keep both. But if it comes down to it that I just need to pick the grille insert or lighting, then I'll eventually just remove it. Am just hoping in some perfect world, people have found ways to have both.

Thanks

Well, I don't have the lower grill but do to putting a hitch in and wanting access to the pin hole I had to move my 6dd lights forward an inch. By making a bracket to do that. Was really easy for me but I'm a retired tech and fabricator. This might give you the room for the grille. Bracket was 2"×6.5" 1/8 aluminum with 4 holes

How do you keep the ACC and use the M2M lower grille guard?
Their Youtube video description says in it doesn't work with ACC.

This is really helpful and a great idea, thank you for sharing. If by any chance you have a picture of the bracket or what a similar one looks like, could you please share?

I think that video must be old. When I was searching through these forms I did see some threads from 2019-2020 where people were saying it messed with the ACC. However, it seems that M2M then created an updated version to fix this issue. If you look at the bullet points on the listing for the grille, it says "Works with or without ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)". I can confirm that I am not having any issues with it either - works great.

I didn't take any pics of the brackets when I made them. I'll try to get some of them on the truck tomorrow. We're having dust storms here today so since I have copd I ain't going outside.

I can confirm ACC does work with that grill.

I struggled with that one too. Finally, I just took the grill off and installed the Diode Dynamics Dual White Driving SS6 Bumper Kit. The goal of that grill was to protect the intercooler from rocks. Light and ACC sensor cover that now. https://www.stage3motorsports.com/d...e-dual-dual-white-driving-ss6-bumper-kit.html

Thanks. Looking at the way you set this up is exactly what I was planning on doing. From this angle it definitely looks like there's enough protection between the lights and ACC sensor.

Side question for you, are these the only extra lighting you have on the truck right now? Are you happy with choosing this option rather than different lighting somewhere else?

I also run the two-piece lights from Diode Dynamics along with their A-pillar pod lights and fog lights. Couldn't be happier with all three.

Very happy with this set up. They work perfectly for what I wanted. I didn't want big lights that break up the lines of the truck. My Jeep is another story! :) I did switch high/low/fog lights to LED. When the DD lights are on, it is hard to tell if the high beams are even on. I have the DD lights aimed slightly outward to light the sides of the road. Animals crossing the roads here are a major issue. FWIW, this is the switch panel I went with. Blends with the interior nicely. https://www.etsy.com/listing/122775...qD1_SX77poaAjlJEALw_wcB&variation1=2713153963

I installed the DD yellow 6" lights and yellow fog lights.

I went with an automatic on setup and skipped the switch ?

I'm using the fog lights as a trigger with a pair of relays tied to the battery with a 5A fuse on each light to power the 6" light bars and tied the daylight running on the fog lights to the side markers.
