Been using Fordpass for locking and unlocking the Ranger almost daily. Today I could not unlock, error message says (I don't remember the exact syntax) "system update requires manually unlocking truck and reset permissions on Sync3". Big WTF... My keys are inside the truck.

Fordpass assistance could not get it open either after removing and reinstalling the APP.

GOOD THING I HAD A DOOR KEY CUT AND HIDDEN UNDERNEATH!

Get the keypad! It's like $100, I did cuz I do exactly what you do. I lock my keys inside my truck. FYI: the dealer has to program the keypad. No matter what the info in the box says,the dealer still has to get into it with a computer and program the keypad. There's a YouTube video on it. Have it ready to go so you can show the dealer after he wastes your time claiming they do t have to program it
