Has anyone come across any LED running boards for the 2019 Ranger? I will definitely have to install some and would like them to be lighted. Of course, I'll have to also find a place to tap power that would be in sync with the door opening.

If you feel like spending an arm and/or a leg, ADD has some that are lit.

They call these rock sliders and they even have "Rock Sliders" laser cut into the step, but they are body mounted. It doesn't say that in the description, but if you look at the install instructions, you are definitely bolting to the body. Not going to do much to protect the rockers if they are not frame mounted.

Thanks for posting that link. That running board does include LED lights, but geez they are taking advantage of the buyer. Frame mounted is definitely preferred. I do like that the installation directions give good instructions on where to gain the controlled power lead.

While frame mount is preferred, hardly any steps these days mount to the frame. Almost every set I have seen for almost every truck and Jeep is considered body mount.

These are the ones that are on the Ford Performance truck at SEMA and Detroit auto show. They even call them Rock Sliders. I fear that Ford Performance will add some to the price for their Logo, but I would rather have their logo. I left them off my Ranger order thinking that i would add later but that's an awfully high price.

I've since recalled that the Lariet trim comes with what Ford calls security approach lights on the side mirrors. Probably Ford's name for puddle lights. I may not need lighted running boards and just go with what Ford offers thru their parts department.

If you purchase thru Ford parts, do they install or are these items DIY?

You can go either way with installation. But Installation is an additional charge and you have to arrange for it for after you get the parts.
