Lariat Right Side Instrument Panel Display & Apple Carplay

I have a question for Apple CarPlay users who own Lariats with the dual displays in the instrument panel. It appears that the right screen is used for Navigation and Sync 3. Does anyone know if the right screen is used when you are operating Apple CarPlay with apps like Spotify or navigation with Apple Maps?

Nope, the right screen becomes more useless than it already is when CarPlay is running. It will not show you nav instructions or artist info.

My right screen shows me what's playing when playing from Spotify through Apple CarPlay...but I can't hit "next" from the steering wheel or at least I haven't figured it out yet.
