Thank you for all your input. It appears nobody cares about the lack of moldings because you all don’t think there’s an issue. Great! I am done with chasing windshield moldings.

I also agree that the truck is relatively quiet as is. However, my OCD wants to find ways to make it even more quiet. I think new tires will probably be my best bet.
If you don't go off road then quiet highway tires would be the way to go unless you live where it snows. Dedicated snow tires for winter might be an option. Here in north Idaho all terrains are a must for me so I put up with a little tire noise but after the new tires were on for a bit I quit noticing them. Toyo AT IIIs.

I have the solution that works with almost any vehicle. "TURN IT UP, SON!!" If I blast the music loud enough everything else disappears!! Seriously, I do get where you're coming from. It's nice to hear yourself think. You should have been in my three different 70's F250s with no A/C and the rear slider open for air flow in the summer!! There's your wind noise!! The old Kraco Dashmaster had a hard time keeping up!! 😁
That's funny. Uncle Roys Old Red 71 F250 4x4 was exactly like that, roll the windows down manually. He would drive it 60 to 80 mph, depending on what speed he felt like driving it on any given day. The radio didn't work in that truck, so we had to listen to the 390 through 2.5 inch dual exhaust with headers and hollowed out 18 inch glass packs with tail pipes that turned down at the rear bumper. That old truck was Loud, Rough and Fun to get to ride in as a kid. A working mans truck, no power steering, no power brakes, manual widows, no AC, hints rolling the windows down no frills lol.

I had a '71 and '78 4x4 4 spd but my first truck was a '74 2wd 4 spd Camper Special. I wish I had the '71 back. If I only knew then what those hi-boys are worth now! It was so much fun to drive!!

This as close as I could find to what what Uncle Roys Old Red truck looked like. This is a 72 F250 Highboy 4x4 with a 390 and a 4-speed.

Albeit, his was more patinaed and beat up than this one is, it was dual purpose, his work truck and his hunting truck. His also had a homemade headache rack on it, no mud flaps, and in place of the stock steel wheels he had 16.5×10 white spoke wagon wheels with 33×12.5R16.5 Wild Country MTs white letters out. Old school and just flat out Cool.

Mine was pale yellow over original blue. Custom, 360, 4 spd without the trim but just like this one in the picture.Came from a local sawmill that used the yellow. A guy at church worked at the mill and bought the truck when it was retired. I think I gave $700 for it and it needed a clutch and muffler. Later the Dana 24 transfer case has some issues so I got a used New Process 205 out of a 75-76 hi boy and put that in. Replaced the seat with another from a wrecking yard and the inner front fenders. After that the truck was solid. So wish I still had it. No power anything on it. Perfect hunting/woods truck! Now those things go for a mint!😲

I remember as a 6 or 7 year old kid asking Uncle Roy if Old Red had the stock rear end and transfer case? The answer was, "no, it has a one ton rear end and transfer case." He could have pulled a house down with that old truck if he wanted to lol, it had 4.10 gears front and rear, with the Granny low 4-speed.

Ref: Wind Noise
My truck also has some wind noise on the drivers side - more notable driving HIghway speed and crosswind
it's not that bad but notable and not enough for me to take the time to pinpoint it down.
I can say it appears to be coming from the door and or molding itself, no water leaks at all
Possible sources to check - say test drive with (Painters Tape) at varied location and note any change as I have pressed the seals (internal) while driving and no noted change

So somewhere (externally) the wind is getting past the external side of the seal (at the window) and or the door to body seal or the mirror mount.
or
we are hearing the (wind disturbance) from the mirror housing
As I said mine has some noise but not that bad and planed on doing some testing (Smoke) to note if I see any obvious leaks whenever I have time to play, just for the curiosity of where its coming from.

Thanks for your input. If you learned anything from the smoke test, please come back and update the thread.
