I just bought the 2.0 XLT 4X4 and am very happy with the package. The one little irritating thing is that when getting out and I touch the sensor on the handle to lock the vehicle - it sometimes works and sometimes not. Is there a reset option or do I need to replace the sensor?

Mines doing the same thing. I suspect my 3 1/2 year old battery is the problem. I have seen similiar threads were they suggested disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes to reboot the computer. Idk....but I am having my battery replaced regardless.

When mine started doing this my battery was low. If you don't drive a lot or long distances the system doesn't have time to recharge. You said you just picked it up so it could've been sitting for a while on the lot and there's so much stuff always running it will have a drain on the battery. Give it a good charge and get yourself a good battery maintainer and that will help keep it topped off.

Could the Thinkware 1000 be the culprit? I think mine is set to shut off at 11.5 volts. Mines doing it after a 500 mile drive so new Interstate battery for me.

I didn't have my dash cam when it happened to me. I guess it if sits long enough even though the cam goes into sleep mode it could be enough drain on the battery.

I wired my dash cam with the OBD cable for power so I can just reach down and unplug it while it's just sitting in my garage. There are times I don't drive it for a few days and I figured this would help to not put anymore drain on the battery too.

Follow up....

I finally recieved a system shut down notice Thursday. So the issue went on for a few weeks prior but thankfully I made a 1000 mile roundtrip before realizing my battery was the issue. Funny how the computer knows the battery is loosing voltage but does not give a check battery notice, eh?

Regardless it has been on my radar to replace the 3+ year old battery, especially Ford OEM.

New Interstate "z" rated battery and my keyless entry on all four doors, as well as my engine restart ( unfortunantly) and lighting restored. Also probably why I also was not able to upgrade sync recently. The Thinkware 1000 was difinitely not the problem. Funny how a drop in voltage effects so many systems but the truck is still drivable.

I find my keyless is sensitive to unlock again if my hand doesn't grip the handle just right.

Side note: if you ever put the RedTek window module in, be careful in the carwash. Mine opened all four windows when the spray wand hit the sensor. I guess I should bring a faraday box along in case I need to rinse all the goddamn salt and brine they put down in good ol Ontario.

Funny I only have to touch the indentation on the outside of all four door handles to lock/unlock (when my battery is charged). Others and I think the manual say otherwise.

The all window opening in a carwash mod must be interesting for others to witness. Maybe try deselecting auto lock in settings before carwashing unless your interior is really really dirty?

So that module rolls your windows down automatically when the vehicle is unlocked?

What's the point?

I thought it rolled them up when locked. Which seems useful to me. But I can't see wanting all the windows down every time you unlock the truck.

Also, along the same lines. I've found intelligent access to be iffy when my truck is dirty.

It rolls them up when you lock it, they roll down after you hit the unlock three times. It's a very nice feature when it's a hot day, especially if you're smart enough leave the keys away from the truck when you power wash it.

I got you now. That makes more sense.
