Yes, they’re a functional step too. I’m not sure how much they’ll protect from stone chips, I’ve got the fender flares to cut down on whatever the tires kick up and plan on putting some Track Armor on before I hit the trails next time which should help against “pin-striping” and make cleaning a lot easier.

Thanks. A friend offered me a set of new BFG 285x85x17s for $500, which is $400 than the cheapest new tires I can get here on island, so I'm trying to figure it out. Ordered suspension specialists 2.5 levelers. Need to figure out the wheels next. Money is super tight.

That’s a good deal, they’re noticeably heavier than stock but they get the job done.

I think the OEM style flares from Bushwhacker/Lund look pretty good. They're a little less exaggerated than the full flares, which is what I'm running on mine. As with my Raptor, I had the flares paint-matched to my Ranger. I have never been a fan of the bolt-on flares, but the smooth flares look like they belong.

I couldn't be happier with my Shrockworks sliders - rock solid quality and they nailed the look on the Ranger. It's rare that I wouldn't change a thing on an aftermarket part, but the sliders and my ADD bumper fit in that category.

How's that Livernois tune? I'm running 3 tunes from 5 Star Tuning. My Borla S-Type cat-back exhaust gets installed in two days. aFe hot/cold pipes and CAI are a little delayed with the inventory issues due to COVID.

I couldn't be happier that the Ford tune got bumped back and I ended up going with Livernois. I really like the calibrator and it was a very easy process. The soft shift performance tune just gives the truck effortless power and it glides through the gears smoother than stock (and actually uses them all instead of skipping) and has more than restored the power lost by adding the bigger tires on. I have only been driving around town with the AC on since getting it so far, but seems to be getting about what I was getting on the highway prior to the tune, so it'll be interesting to see what the average MPG ends up being when I take it on a road trip.

The cat back opens the 1 inch restriction in the exhaust pipes. I put the MagnaFlo cat back on my Ranger and noticed a difference...but until I added the Roush CAI...I never realized the engine potential. It's a whole new truck. You have to let the air in so you can exhaust it later...lol.

Thank you, I'll try and answer all of your previous posts' questions here.

For the ceramic coat, it depends on what you go with and if you apply it yourself or have it done professionally. Don't be surprised if you get a quote over $1,000 though to have it done professionally.

For the exhaust, I don't have a "measured" improvement such as dyno numbers but it seems like you hear the turbo spool up more and it sounds a little more aggressive.

For the tune, I'd recommend going into the Livernois tune thread as there's a lot of good information and questions answered in there, but this is hands down the best bang for your buck mod I have done other than the rock sliders which paid for themselves after last weekend. I currently have the 91+ "soft shift" tune and I feel like this is how the truck should have come from the factory. I got all of the power that I lost from putting the bigger tires on and then some back and the truck shifts much smoother and just pulls while gliding through the gears. I haven't dyno'd it and don't have plans to, however I've noticed my gas mileage has improved in addition to the added power. Prior to the tune with the level kit and wheels/tires, I was getting about 17-18 mpg in town and 19-20 on the highway. Now I easily get 19+ in town and get 23-24 mpg on the highway and about 400 miles out of a tank where previously it was closer to 350. It's a very easy process to put on/take off, you get tunes for performance 87/89 and 91+, soft shift variations for those tunes, and one for towing. I believe the tuner is still on sale for $499. It does not come with a warranty like the Ford tune (which you have to pay to have installed in order to get whatever warranty coverage is offered even though you can do it yourself in less than 15 minutes) however Livernois' customer service is top notch and I am not the least bit concerned about having the tune on my truck.

The truck may look the same but it rides much better now after installing a set of Fox 2.0’s all around. A few weeks ago I got to really experience the difference on the Cleghorn trail in Southern California and am very pleased with how much better they are over the factory shocks and springs. Also, I finally got a tow hitch installed for recovery purposes.

Again, likely looks pretty much the same but is a lot different underneath and it now has a set of the APG/Deaver progressive leaf springs, Icon UCA, SVC billet tie rods, Diode Dynamics SS3 LED fog lights and AlphaRex LUXX series headlights. The front is now a 3” level as well.
