Thanks Bill. It's sad these people can get away this stuff and while I wont say it dint happen back in MA (it did) it wasn't as common as I've seen here and in AZ. Luckily you were able to fix your own electrical because most can't and that along with plumbing are on the top of must haves when looking for a good contractor. Sorry to hear about your daughter's troubles and I just don't know how these people sleep at night knowing they screwed over good people like this. I do believe in karma and they will get theirs in the end.

When we moved back to MO. from Texas the inspector found one of the A/C units had the wrong size breaker. Five year old house the builder changed it no charge, said they don't use that electrical company any more.

A few pictures of the house finished. The photographer did a great job and the house did turn out well but there was so much we just didn't get that we really wanted. My neighbor says the couple love it so at least I made someone happy with their home.

I never seen a house built on that type of slope before. I find it interesting and bothersome at the same time. Hopefully you don't get foundation problems like we do in Texas.

That's nothing for a slope here, it's only a 7' drop in 110' from right to left. There are some houses literally built on a cliff with zero back yard. It's such a slope the back of the house looks like it's 3 stories tall. Besides it's sold and not my problem anymore. lol

Dave, glad it has all worked out for you and Annie. We pursued a move to Wisconsin 6 years ago and started working with a builder but it didn't feel right and decided to stay put in SE Minnesota. Made numerous upgrades to our house and happy we stayed put. Most importantly, our daughter needed us here near Mayo Clinic for her liver transplant. The lesson for us was that roots grow deep and the grass is not always greener.

Now you don't have to worry about changing your @AzScorpion name!

There’s a lot of truth in this meme. I’ve always found it curious how many octogenarians there were at the grocery store on the weekend. Now that I’m retired, I have to remind myself it’s Saturday and I should stay the heck away from the grocery store.
