I even have a decent view from the back porch, dining room and master bedroom. I have to look for the lot pin because I’m pretty sure (look at the plot plan below) those spruce trees are mine and the neighbor has his propane tank/fence partially on my property. The pin should be right around the far spruce and I don’t really care about the tank/fence but I will give those trees a good haircut so we have a better view.

Finally making some progress! After 3 months of waiting for permits the house is almost framed. They just put the doors and windows in yesterday and have a couple more days to finish the roof sheathing and wrap a few things up inside. They have a lot of inspections here (which is a good thing) in the beginning. One after the lot is cleared, one after the footings are dug and one after they're poured and the block is laid, core filed and slabs poured. The nice thing about using the Zip System is once the roof is on it'll be weather tight and the subs can start their rough in even if the shingles aren't on yet.
Great progress Dave. I bet you and Annie are pretty excited to see the building take shape.

Yes is it Kent! We're really excited but I'm more happy for her because she could never envision the house from the print and now she can. There's a stepped up coffered ceiling in the great room and she could never picture what it would look like. We stopped by this morning to bring the guys some coffee/doughnuts and they were done framing it out so she could now see it.

This looks great, Dave. After so long to have it starting to take shape, is awesome. Duke and the guys now have a better idea about how to plan the kegger, I mean house warming party. It looks like you have plenty of room for the Disco ball in the main room.

Thanks Chuck! I made sure to have a special place for all of you after the last 2 house wreckers. See that opening in the lower left corner? That's everyone's entrance to the crawl space.

Oh, and the lake is right across the street for baths.?

I was thinking the same thing Chuck. And since it’s still only at the framed-in stage, we can still run an additional 240V line for the huge hot tub I have planned for that great room, plus the ceiling pot for the disco ball - good thing the ceiling is coffered because it allows for a larger than normal mirror ball.

I’ll break in pop by this weekend and add some bracing in the ceiling and sister all the floor joists to handle all that extra weight.

It’s gonna be epic!
