Now the fun begins. :rolleyes: I wish I could start loading stuff now but I hate to say it I don't trust the area now that someone would try and break in. You can lock it up but I still wouldn't sleep all night knowing most of our stuff is in there. So I have 3 others helping me early tomorrow morning load it up and they're scheduled to pick it back up in the afternoon.

He did pick the two coolest days in one of the hottest months, though, so there's that!

After 8 total major moves (7 of them - change of states) for my aviation career. It’s a stressful time and then add in 2 overseas contracts where my furniture stayed state side.
I am done moving, if something happens I am commuting and using what’s known as a crash pad. I have done this before, harder to do after 9-11, since i do not have Jump Seat benefits anymore. (Cockpit) even with me having Run & Taxi , not allowed for a live flight.
It used to be easy, on Full Flight - simply ride the Jump Seat, as long as there was no (Dead Head) crew it was yours.

You're not kidding brother! As much as we're both looking forward to this I have really bad anxiety now. But I was kind of like this when I moved out here but at that time only had myself to worry about because Annie was still living back in Chicago. By next week the worst will be over and we can start settling into our new area. Thanks for all the uplifting text over the past several months, they really helped!☺

Yeah well I was never one to take the easy route. lol As luck would have it tomorrow morning will be the coolest we've had in weeks at 72/101. We should be done around noon, hopefully sooner.

At least I didn't pick Friday! o_O:sun::tumbleweed:

Pack some ice packs for your back. You're gonna need them by the time everything is packed and you drive a few hours.

They'll be good for keeping the beer cold as well. :giggle: :crackup:

Enjoy your trip :like:

You're right Andy, he's only about 20 minutes away from me now. ? Come to think of it he didn't even load the truck when he moved he was smart, he hired someone to do it.

But the Polish in me just wont allow it while I'm still capable of doing it.

Good luck on the move and enjoy the rental while you have it. Keep the banjo tuned up for those camp fire sing Along's.
Thanks Chuck. One good thing is the rental is only 3.5 miles from where we're building so the next move will be a lot easier. I can do in my truck and I might rent a U-Haul trailer if needed.

Most of my moves have been short ones when I lived back east. They were all done with pickups and vans with all my friends and was so much easier back then when you're younger. Even my move out here wasn't to bad because I bought the house 3 years before moving here so I didn't have to move much furniture. IIRC I only used 6' of the ABF freight truck but don't think I'll be that lucky this time. Annies souvenirs alone from all our trips will take up that much space! :facepalm: I hope it's our last one because I don't have it in me to do it again anytime soon.?
