Hey all,

Just wondering if anybody has ever changed the little LED in the interior door handle cavity and how to do it?

I always knew that only the driver side lit up, but I thought that was the way it was designed until I looked today and realized that the LED is in there, it's just not turning on.

Did some searching but haven't really found anything. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, I have the lighting on. I may not have been clear; the ambient lights are on in the driver door handle and both footwells, but not the passenger door handle

I believe the whole door panel has to come off to get access, but you may be able to get to it by just removing the (handle) cover.
I believe I remember seeing threads on breaking the light tube when the panel was removed for other maintenance.

Possible PN: Needs CONFIRMED - EB3Z-14A318-A

I would wire check before replacing, it may just be a bad connection
3-Wire Connector C620
Pin 1 - Power (Green / Red)
Pin 2 - LIN Control (Brown)
Pin 3 - Ground (Black / Blue)

Check Voltage - Pin #1 to Ground
Check Voltage - Pin #1 to Pin #3
Should Read 12 Volts or Battery Voltage

Check LIN Control wire (Ohms Scale)
Disconnect BCM Connector (C2280D) Pin # 38 Brown / White
Disconnect Light Connector C620 - Pin 2 (Brown)
Meter Check Wire - Pin 38 to Pin 2
Should be 3 Ohms or Less
If this does not check good, then we need to move to C275

If the wire checks are good replace the LED Tube Assembly
If not, then note where the issue is and we can dig further into the harness
as power and LIN split into separate harness runs

Power is spliced off the (Center) Bin Light, Runs to C225 then to the C620 Connector
LIN Circuit (Control) Is spliced and feeds LF & RF door lights
BCM - C2280D to C275 and splices off to both doors

Note the Pinout (Numbers)
