Hi Ranger nuts,
Yesterday I went to top up my windscreen washer bottle and noticed that there was a small amount of oil sprayed on the battery, upon closer inspection I beleive it's coming from the intercooler hose (cold side) now I know these tend to crack and cause a whistling noise which is solved by a simple replacement but none of the Youtube vids mention anything about oil spray, has anyone else experienced this? cause? fix?
Thanks in advance

There should be no oil spraying from the hose. I replaced mine with aftermarket and they were bone dry.

That's my concern, the only oil is on the hose and spray up the battery
Odd thing is the car runs, sounds fine

I installed a Ford Performance catch can that catches vapor going to the turbo inlet, (New 2023 w/ 5000 miles) after 1500 miles I checked and got aprox an ounce of fluid (gassy smelling oil) that would have gone into the turbo and intercooler. So it doesn't surprise me that some could make it through the intercooler and out a hose.
We had 2 2012 F150's in the fleet w/ 200K+ miles on them that started running rough, finally determined there was fluid in the intercooler, I drilled a tiny hole in the bottom of the intercooler and got over a pint of fluid out (Nasty oil and water) so that's why I did the catch can!
