I know this is a render but I'm liking the squared cab. Not a fan of the air dam on that showcase picture. Looks like an updated version of the mini trucks!

With exchange rate the base model is 15K USD. I'd rather buy a used Ranger. But honestly these will be great for businesses here in delivery, small contractors etc.

The closest thing we're supposed to get here in NA is the rumored Stout.
Every single picture or rendering I've seen of the Stout is a rebadged/slightly modified picture of a Maverick, which I guess is all they have to work with until Toyota releases something.

Different grille, edit a scoop into the hood (Toyota LOVES non-functional scoops), paint on some black cladding, and Voila! The Toyota Stout!

That said, if Toyota does release the Stout, maybe it will rein in some of the stupid Maverick price gouging that saw it go from a Great Deal to Why Bother.

The Maverick in that picture looks like it has the F-150 Lightning grille and lighting.
?
I've been keeping an eye open for any news on the Stout. Hopefully the interior will be much nicer than the Mavericks.

Vehicle renderings are like watching fake movie trailers on YouTube lol.
The Stout won't drop Maverick pricing any more than the Tacoma dropped Ranger pricing.
Here's the closest thing I've seen to an accurate Stout encounter...........

They really won't let us have small single cabs in the states anymore. Here's your "truck" with four doors and a 2 inch bed. Enough room for a bicycle unicycle.

While the current vehicle market is crazy, the market will usually correct when all the GottaGetItFirsts have finished being fleeced.

Well, after the supply chain is corrected too.

Formerly "Hot" Jeep Gladiators are now $10k to almost $20k off MSRP at Koons.

When a Toyota is the same price as a Ford, most people will choose the Toyota based on perceived reliability.

I got my Ranger at the end of 2019 for more than $10k off MSRP (rebates and incentives were nuts at the end of the year. WooHoo!)

Would I have bought the Tacoma if it was the same price?

Irks me to say it but I probably would've, even though it was a lesser truck than the Ranger, just based on perceived reliability.

But now that all the transmission issues, HVAC issues, and assorted other gremlins are popping up, and seeing Ford's non-response to the issues, this is likely my last new Ford.

Every vehicle can have issues.

But with my sporadic HVAC problem, with a known TSB about the issue, and Ford constantly saying "No Problem Found" apparently trying to run out the warranty clock, it will probably be gone before my extended warranty runs out.

I agree Richard - the utility of these in the mini truck segment is very clear, in your market and many others. From a practicality standpoint, it appears to be on target.

Seriously doubt the Toyota Stout will be cheaper than a Maverick with the Toyota tax added.
And no way the Tamaraw will be available in the US.

I was able to fit an entire 60's 8 foot stepside bed off a GM truck in my 2 Inch ranger bed...

..It was completely disassembled.. but still ?
