That "carbonized" gray is just a different shade of Iconic Silver....so I'll give it a pass. It is tasteful, unlike that "Screaming Orange" Saber....
At least the Iconic Silver and Carbonized Gray look like, when they pass you at speed, look like a "Silver Thunderbolt", unlike the "Orange Blob" Saber !!!!:crackup::crackup:
One good thing about the Saber color....it's easy to find in a parking lot !!!!
When I see one, it's also a good reminder to have a glass of OJ when I get home !!!!

You guys know that Ford Australia wanted to make the 6G shell basically an evolution of the 5G design, related to, but distinct from the North American designs, but the Bosses back in Dearborn said no, we want you to make it look more like the new F series and the upcoming Maverick.
So that's what you got.

I've added a list of photos below which show how the 5G Ranger has changed since it's debut back in 2011. First pic 2011-2015 Second 2015-2019, Last 2019-2022. Mine is from the first series, its an end of run 2015. Under the skin they are almost identical they only changed some of the sheet metal, later models had more emission equipment ie DPF's, and an updated dash, which is the same version as what you got, only reversed of course.

Wow did you get the stock rims chromed? They look much better like that.
No, they basically come from factory with a chrome paint. Not real chrome.

Oh, over here they only come in that nondescript silvery grey that all manufacturers use. Yours look better.

After seeing pics of the 6G Ranger I think the 5G is infinitely cooler

I think I'm keeping mine too. Manely because I like my Super Cab. And 6-foot bed. 2024 are now only Super Crews.

I like the look of my '19 more that the 6G. But...if I won the powerball I would trade it for a new Ranger Raptor.

Been a year this month and I have 10,000 miles on it and 2 oil changes so far so good no problems. Had truck on hoist changing oil and figured now's good time to check the tranny fluid and what a PIA to get the cap out ended up going from top with 1/2 extensions and breaker bar to get it loose but, was good so must been made middle of the week.

Like it ride and it's nice looking truck so hope all goes well years down the road.

Yep the dipstick is in the same crappy place on the 6R80 auto on my truck. I'm lucky as I have one of the very last ones built before they started fitting DPF's. So I actually have room to get the cap off with a long ring spanner, although I had to use a breaker bar to get it off the first time. I don't know how the guys with the later models get on as they have a great big fat DPF to get around in that area.
I found I could suck out most of the oil in the pan using one of those vacuum oil extractors with the long flexible probes. That way I pulled out 4 litres, (dirty) replaced with clean oil, drove it for a week and repeated 2 more times, by that time the oil coming out looked pretty clean.
The first one was at 100,000 Km and pretty dirty, so I'll do it every 50,000 Km from now on. Fords recommended change interval is 240,000 Km!

From Google search -

What is a chrome like PVD wheel?

The PVD finish is a powder coated process that maintains a high quality shine but is of a completely different chemical composition that will not pit or flake under normal circumstances & use.
So far I like it, time will tell on long it last
