I had been getting a warning message intermittently about the forward sensor being blocked so things like emergency braking, adaptive cruise, etc wouldn't work. I had seen those same warning very occasionally before since I moved the sensor to accommodate my front hitch mount. I didn't worry too much about it.

A few days ago I was washing my truck and I found a dead bird in front of the sensor! I haven't had the error since..... Go figure! At least it wasn't lying!

Yeah I had a wasp nest in mine. Knocked it out but I frequently still get the warnings.

Good advice, so far it is snow that causes me problems.

You might want to make sure that the CCM (radar module) is fully seated in its standoff mounts. Mine got bumped and three of the mounting pegs became disconnected and caused the module to slightly tilt. All I did was press in fairly hard on the module to reseat it to its mounting pegs. They just snap in. The warnings went away after that. I was getting a C1001:97 fault code until reseating the CCM module. The code pointed to the camera, but it was actually the CCM (which is connected to the IPMA camera module).
