I'd first ask what you intend to do with it? The OEM kit is only 150W.how hard would it be? and expensive? is it something i can do or should a dealer do this?
I just poked around and can't locate the kit, but my *guess* is it's probably plug and play. But who knows if there is a harness already in place for it.The sole purpose would be to keep my work laptop juiced enough to be able to make a 4 hour trip. It's battery probably lasts 3 hours or so. It would be one of those deals where I am oncall and want to go out of town. As long as the laptop has juice for four hours I am good.
Reach out to Benny @LevittownFordParts.com He may know details.... and yeah, also search the forums, there's probably a thread.Mine does not have it. The rear of the center console has two 12v plugs. I have the peasant version fx4. My son's has the 110v ac option and he has the plug and two USB ports back there. The only thread I could find was on the bed plug. That's not what I want.
Might need the trim panel with the extra hole. Not sure if the harness connection point is already in the armrest guts. Will need some investigatingIs that all I need?
