This morning I removed the back seats from my 2021 supercrew in order to prepare for Goose Gear style install. However, now I get a dash light letting me know that I unplugged those seatbelts. I have plugged the belts back in but would like to remove and store with the seat.

Is there any way to cap those plugs to make it think that there are still seats back there or maybe something in Forscan?

Thanks, M

Not sure of the options you mentioned but I’ve seen the buckles without the belt available that would serve the purpose.

im assuming the sensor in the female end of the seat buckle fitting is likely fairly simple. it may be a pressure or magnetic thing. id take apart the female end and see how it looks and what wiring is in it. id bet you can cheat it some how. the seats "look for" weight then set off the belt nanny. maybe if you take the seats out and simply disconnect all the sensors at the bitter ends it will do what you wish, im thinking no seat belt sensor feeling for weight in the seats then no magnetic or pressure sensor in the buckle? like a loop or circuit
hopefully that makes sense im a little blah at the moment so my explanations are even worse than normal lol.

Super cabs don’t have cushion sensors in rear seats. This is off another forum but it should still work.

1) Sit in the seat you want to disable the chime for. (you will have to do it individually for all seatbelts you want to disable)

2) Push the ignition button with the key in the truck and without pressing the brake pedal. (So the ignition is on without the truck running)

3) Wait for the seatbelt light to go out.

4) As soon as the seatbelt light goes out buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 or 4 times until the seatbelt light comes back on.

5) Buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt one last time, the seatbelt light will flash a few times letting you know you did it right.

I just remembered, you can turn off the seatbelt alarms in FORScan, I did in my Scab.
Module IPC
Don’t see why you couldn’t do it on a SuperCrew.

Still should work.
I’m not trying to eliminate a chime, I’m trying to eliminate the warning on the dash telling me there is a fault because I’ve disconnected the sensors.

I think it does both. I did it to my drivers seat and it doesn’t show warning or chime. So it needs to be done with each buckle you want done. Or as OP said backward engineer a hack to make it think it’s an empty seat

You can turn the warning message off in the settings.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m have the same issue now can’t figure out how to get air bag light off. Was able to get rear seat malfunction off with Forscan in the IPC as built. Not sure if this will help did you ever get airbag light off??? Nothing in the RCM in Forscan helped either.
