Just bought a set of Black Rhino wheels from Discount Tire Direct. According to DiscountTire they fit the Ranger. However when they arrived there was no included rings so I called customer service. Was told Black Rhino doesn't make rings that will work on the Ranger. Now I was under the impression that you must have centering rings. What is everyone's opinion on this?

As long as the hub diameter of the wheels is equal-to or greater-than the hub diameter on the truck, there shouldn't be any issue. Most aftermarket wheels are 'lugcentric' and rely on conical lug nuts for centering. I don't foresee any issues with it.

Same here. My Fuel wheels came with hub centric rings that didn't fit my hub. Mounted them without them and no problems so far.

If y'all ever get some noise or vibration from the wheels, here's one place to get the rings:

Thanks for the link. I didn't find the centric ring I needed for my black rhino wheels, but I did find two rings that when stacked together make one big ring. It should work.

When I ordered my OZ Rally Raid wheels I asked what the diameter was and bought my own rings. When I showed up to Discount Tire to get my Toyos mounted the techs were all very appreciative and said they absolutely make a difference.

Are the Ford wheels that come with the Ranger hub centric already, or do they need rings because the hub diameter is larger so they are stud-centric?
