I am shopping for winter wheels and tires for my Ranger.
On my other vehicles (three Subarus), I have always used hub centering rings with aftermarket wheels. When I asked Tire Rack if they included the rings, here was the reply:
We don’t use hub center rings on trucks. We have had very few issues in the thousands of trucks we have outfitted.
What do most people do with aftermarket wheels?
I am concerned about vibrations without the centering rings, especially with how prone these trucks are to vibrations and shuttering.
My other option is to buy a set of Ranger wheels (slightly used take offs), but that is more of a pain, as I prefer to order the wheels, TPMS and tires all mounted and balanced at once.
