Added Chrome running boards. Fantastic.

I have the same chrome boards. I think the chrome helps my painted aluminum wheels blend in better. I like your wheels better but I'm happy with mine.

I think in the future I will be installing chrome bumpers.

My running boards, are just "Rock Deflectors"!! I would probably take them off at this point, but the paint durability against impacts, seems a bit "light"!!!

Am thinking about adding a set of "Rock sliders" instead!!!

Not running boards but I use my Shrock sliders all the time to clean the windshield and wipe the roof...

Although the sliders protect the truck from rocks, they are too shallow to work as a step for entry. My bride loves these.

I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted, so I went with the iBoards because they were cheap and I liked the look. I don't really use them, but the side of the truck always looked like something was missing. I'm not tall, but stepping on them makes me have to hunch over to slide my head into the cab.

Although I do not have the Chrome package, I think the OEM chrome running boards are a nice addition to the wheels and chrome accents on my Lightning Blue.

Well done.. those do look good on your truck.

The big thing most folks dislike is the gap between the boards and the cab... which due to the shadows don't show up in your photo. I'm at a loss as to why Ford doesn't fill this space like Toyota does on their 4-Runners?

I have the chrome package and the steps are just for looks. I cant use them. You can't get enough of your foot on them. They dont stick out enough. And if I put my foot sideways on the step and get in I may smash my head if I dont remember to crouch down.

I don't use them like normal. My lady is 4ft 10" so she likes them with the grab rail. I put my right foot in and scooch into the seat then put my left foot on the running board to boost myself into the cab all the way. I have the painted aluminum wheels so the chrome running boards help the look of the cheap wheels.

exactly on the money . The wife uses them but I do not . Too tough to bend down and duck in the door .
