It's sad to see the size of kids today are larger than our old tv's. Unless it was pouring rain outside we were always out doing something whether it was riding our bikes through the woods or playing Evil Knievel jumping over one another with a makeshift ramp from a board and an old log. lol

The worst was drinking out of those rubber garden hoses sitting in the sun. Nasty kerosene after taste from what ever was leaching out of the rubber ?.And when we got hot and tired we drank water directly out of a faucet plumbed with lead pipes![]()
We also learned how to smoke and play doctor with the girls. It's sad to see the size of kids today are larger than our old tv's. It's amazing we survived all these old jungle gyms, slides and metal swing sets in the school playground with no helmets at all!

Uh…yup …We also learned how to smoke and play doctor with the girls.
When I was younger at first we did not have a TV. When we did get one, there was only 3 channels and my folks controlled them. Besides that during the day all that was on was soaps. It's sad to see the size of kids today are larger than our old tv's. I remember having to adjust the rabbit ears on the tv. You'd just get it to where you could see through the snow and then the next show was on a different station and you'd have to start all over again. lol We eventually got an OTA antenna attached to the chimney and an electric rotary dial channel changer. That thing was huge and we would mark the channel number on it.When I was younger at first we did not have a TV. When we did get one, there was only 3 channels and my folks controlled them. Helmets? What is a helmet? Is that something for sissies?
...Or a 100' rubber hose; had to let it run until all the hot water from the sun was pushed out.And when we got hot and tired we drank water directly out of a faucet plumbed with lead pipes![]()
