I finally saw the Olympic Breakdancing!!!

I didn't see any of the break dancing but did have to see what all the hype around Raygun was. Honestly that is probably what most of us would look like trying to break dance. She represents the common man. Or woman. I'd give her a medal just for getting out there and doing that. :like:

People are giving her a hard time, bit IMO she proved break dancing should not be an Olympic sport.

I heard that in an interview, she admitted that her major goal during these Olympics was to make a name for herself, and to get people talking about her, so she was purposefully "unconventional"...

Now, am I missing something? Wasn't the point of "break" dancing to BE unconventional, and to break away from the traditional forms of dancing??? Didn't she kind of embody the entire philosophy behind the style in one of the most "traditional" sporting events in the world????

Apparently the folks picked to judge this event had some background in this style of dancing and could tell whether or not contestants hit specific "marks" that I'm sure all contestants would have been made aware of prior to competing, and those judges found that she completely sucked at it. I've no problem with that.
Sure, she's an athlete. But not every athlete is great at their chosen sport, and some that are great sometimes make poor decisions in their event that doesn't play out well.
She chose poorly.

I have no doubt that the judges were competent and that there were rules which she flaunted, I'm just saying that my understanding is that she purposely chose to flaunt those rules in order to create the exact type of controversy she created, and therefore get talked about a lot more than those who abided by the rules, which is exactly what's happened.
It's not that different than those talentless hacks who auditioned for shows like American Idol, the Voice, etc. not because they thought they could actually win, but rather that if they were terrible enough, they'd get their 15 seconds of fame on the "horror reel".

You are correct! Remember that bad press gets around much faster than good ones do. What better way to get your name/face out there is to have it on all the news outlets. This country/world is such a mess there’s always going to be a large group defending the them. Just watching the opening ceremonies was a perfect example! ?‍♂

Yikes, I get dents from acorns and this guy keeps on going after a PIT manuever. Then he tries to go through some woods and gets stuck with tires squealing like mad. Then he doesn’t roll down the windows despite cops galore.

Then he squeals the tires some more ... he eventually gets out and says "shoot me".

Cops rightly lose it and the F bombs fly.

Perp says he's disabled, cop says he doesn't give a sh!t. Perp worries about his pants and shoe. Good grief!

Even in criminals' hands ... it's still a FFR.

Warning: bad language & stupidity
