Oddly enough........ Thanksgiving hasn't been mentioned.
Interesting bit of history. FDR moved the Thanksgiving holiday to the last Thursday of the month in order to give families an extra shopping day to buy Christmas presents for their armed services family members overseas and get them mailed in time for the holidays.

Nowadays it's more the last minute shopping weekend.

Edit

I forgot to put the quote from the website.

Thanksgiving was not made a legal holiday until 1941 when Congress named the fourth Thursday in November as our national day of thanks in answer to public outcry over President Roosevelt's attempt to prolong the Christmas shopping season by moving Thanksgiving from the traditional last Thursday to the third Thursday of November.

As comedian Mitch Hedberg said:
"An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience."

I truly miss that guy. He made practical sense in everything.

I would have not expected that a video from some random Chinese poster on BilliBilli, without any clear ties to known scientific community, showing room temperature superconducting for a piece of mineral made with a recipe "take one cup of copper sulfide, two of lead apatite and bake for three days at 900'F" from a Korean research team, of which members do not have grasp for super conduction and whose all members cannot agree to sign a research paper, which is rejected by most publishers, would be fake.

Funny but in Philippines if escalator not working they try not let you use. They'll make you walk halfway across the mall to another. I tell the workers "you realize their stairs now". ??

If it was American I would have just figured the Gov doesn't want us to pay attention to something else. Like what they do with all the UFO bs lately.
