No, I didn't die, but damn! My gold cojones are really cold come winter!
sadly true. the d gen is a terrible store. the stuff that is low price is rough quality. stuff that is good quality is higher priced than other stores lol.
As a Navy Corpsman I got 'Familiarization fire' when attatched to the USMC Unit. I was on the firing line for Medical Support when the Gunny came down and asked me if I wanted to fire off some mags. Told him heck yeah! I asked him if I could go full auto and he said sure. I put in a mag......threw that switch over to full auto and let it go! Got done with the 1st mag and Lt Commander Mahsman stopped me.......he asked me "Petty Officer Simmerman, why are you expending your ammunition so quickly?" I replied to him, "Sir!, I was told this was familiarization fire!" He said that's correct. I replied 'Well sir, I'm familiarizing myself with the full auto switch on this rifle! Gunny approved it!' He replied "Oh!.....Carry on then!" I proceeded to load another mag and full auto I went! Went through 10 mags I think before I ran out!Being former Air Force myself, I think I knew these people.
The doppelganger of the girl in the pic:
We were on the range for qualifying. Constant warnings about safety and such.
When she gets her ammo, she somehow sets her rifle to full auto and empties the magazine when she fires it, with the recoil bringing the barrel up and to the left. Luckily no one was near her on the left.
We started calling her Barney because they would only give her one bullet at a time when on the range.

Or to me!?It's a generalization, but still pretty accurate...

We had a guy in the boot camp who did not hit the target once over the whole boot camp duration. He did hit the roof of the shooting range several times.Being former Air Force myself, I think I knew these people.
