Damn , that's sweet , best hood I've seen so far , I'd be tempted to go black on the grilles and ram opening, or maybe that whole ram piece on black , lots of options , and all are good ones ?

yeah lots of options to change the look . I was thinking black on the screen and section in front of it and then skip to the raised part of the hood vents and paint that black also . I've got a little time before I can get to it to change my mind a few times

I thought about a carbon fiber wrap but not sure it would look good since so much is visible from the side . It might be too stark of a difference. Need someone with mad photoshop skills to show me what it would look like ,lol.

I took a few minutes and slapped this thing on before the games started this morning. Fit perfect. These pics are with the latch not fully engaged. I didn't have time to adjust that but I don't see any issues and honestly it's one of the best made hoods I've ever gotten. There was a sticker that said Made in China so that's obviously why it is half the price of the other choices but the quality looks great . Looks like a light sanding prime and paint .

The Ram Air matches up perfectly to the factory air box but I hadn't paid attention to the fact the filter is on top and the air is fed from the bottom. That's unfortunate but guess an excuse to spend more money on an aftermarket airbox.

I like it as is unpainted haha O ended up going with the Injen intake and you can really hear it with the functional hood! That combined with the Turbosmart BOV means race truck lol

Yeah , probably would look sorta cool if I had some other white accents on the lower side of the truck ,lol .

I ordered some 2 part epoxy black primer mainly to just protect it until I can paint it properly but when it comes in I'm gonna spray that and see how it looks . I sprayed all my race bikes with the black epoxy primer back in the day .

I like that. The raised vent section would be remeniciant of a shaker hood. Then add some "2.3 Turbo" emblems on the sides of the vent section. The vent section would look cool with a carbon fiber wrap but doing it would be a B@$CH!

Sanded the hood with 180 grit yesterday and sprayed some black epoxy primer on both sides mainly to use as a guide coat . 320'd today and didn't find any pin holes or imperfections . This is a good hood . Hopefully I can get it painted sometime next week . I don't want to blend in the fenders to get a perfect match so I'm just going to spray it gloss black and see how it looks with the rest of the blackout pkg .

I also finally 303 Graphened the truck today as well so she's all shiney now .
