What are you thinking you'll sell the E1 for?
Going to ask $8K. It's had some roof issues (after being completely rebuilt) but that's been addressed. Lift system is new. Selling it loaded up and ready to camp: two 20# propane tanks, deep cycle 12v battery, dishes and flatware for four, knives, kitchen utensils...etc. Even the bed linens if you want!

Send me a message if you would like a link to some pictures.

Took my first visit to the storage lot to check out the current hitch situation with the old pop-up camper, a Coleman E1 (GVWR: 3500 lbs, Tongue Wt: 315 lbs). I don't see much problem getting it to work. First pic shows the camper level with no contact on the ball, second pic shows the camper's tongue supported by the hitch. The rear of the truck dropped 1.5" with the trailer hooked up. First pic also shows the only cargo in the vehicle itself, Nakai (Springer Spaniel: 48 lbs).

Looks like the Ranger was made for this!

If your trailer isn't level, those type of hitches are made to be turned upside down to raise the tongue height as well.

I'm sure you knew this, but didn't want to assume you did.
