Looking for help on this before I purchased my Truck back in June there was a small dent on driver side on back
rear fender. Once I got it back I wanted to remove those ugly stickers. The passenger side has no problem coming off
but when I looked at the driver side noticed there is clear coat over the decal. SO anyway I can remove this? Possible
WD-40 with Exacto knife to go around the decal. I am planning to put Ranger decals to replace them. I have a heat gun as well so hoping it will be easy to pry off with out completely destroying the area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Very strange to have a clear coat over any stickers... I removed my factory ones w/ no problem and replaced with others.

I know the other side I can peel off but driver side cannot because of the clear coat over it. So no edges on the sticker to peel off. So frustrating

So the side with the clear over the decal was repaired? Sounds like the body shop sprayed clear over the decal instead of removing and replacing over the new clear coat.

I work for a sign company and we’d use a heat gun to make it easier to remove the decal and lighter fluid will remove any adhesive left behind. You could gently use a flat box cutter blade flat against the truck’s body to get an edge started without damaging the paint underneath. You will definitely have a hard outline in the clear left behind. It could probably be polished out

Obviously you’ll be cutting through the clear too, but again I’d hold the blade damn near flat against the body so you’re not damaging the clear under the decal. Good luck!
