thinking about pulling the plastic piece and using some adhesive and cloth or maybe a thin fake leather to give it a more premium feel and also get rid of the annoying plastic squeak that happens every time i open or close the door.

havent tried anything like this before, thoughts?

Just be careful talking it off. The circular retainer at the forward top likes to break off.

I would search this forum or You Tube on how to remove the grey piece in order to wrap the edges of whatever material you are going to use around the piece, rather than just sticking it on and leaving the material edge exposed.

Not a job I would tackle as a home do it yourself job.
I would pay the price for an auto upholsterer to do it right.
Some things you just gotta bite the bullet on.

The hockey stick shaped grab handle? Same suggestions apply.

That whole hockey stick cover pop's off very easily....simple trim panel tool under an edge and a bit of easy prying....take your time...easy pressure and you won't even damage the plastic push rivits holding it.

i want it between the two plasic peices so that it stops the noice they make
You can still do the same, just pull the trim off and wrap that in leather and trim off excess.

Mine doesn't squeak, but hard plastic were elbows go?
Always function before style.
Neoprene with fabric, 10 squares of Amazon.
My elbow stopped hurting. I thought it was the gym!!
