I found a coupin from Springfield for a free optic mount for the xdm, I picked a docter noblex mount. Anyone have some suggestions on a decent red dot that fits that mount?

I’m not terribly familiar with what all is on the market lately but from what little I know I’d go for a 3MOA Burris Fastfire 3. More research may turn up something better and hopefully someone else has some good advice

Was going to install the optic mount on the springfield and life happened.

One of these things is not like the other.... sigh.

my nephew thats 13 has joined his local 4h skeet and trap group. small town, so all his buddies from scouts are in the skeet group. he likes it and is doing amazing! has been in the top 3 every time for 2 years. proud of the kid. the group only shoots 20 gauge, and i didnt have one. I want to be able to go with the nephew and not have to deal with more than one ammo etc. I figured with all the sales going on i could pick up a basic 20ga cheaply so going with the nephew is simple and safer - gave me an excuse for a new gun :) while shopping today i found only one made in usa 20 ga shot gun under 400 dollars! i was shocked. im an old fart but for 250 you could get a shotgun from several quality brands years ago that were made in the states and would work well for many bird seasons to come. savage / stevens = made in china... pass. Winchester = made in turkey... WTH - pass. H&R new england = china/ turkey = pass. sad about winchester, the brand is an american icon and now made in turkey. settled on a mossberg pump no frills 3 shot plastic stock but- made proudly in the states and under 200.
