The cases of birdshot we shipped to Thailand

shooting for the US team in Thailand was an awesome experience
salvo shotgun suppressor arrived before I left for Thailand in November
Are you shooting off a seesaw there? Ha that must a unique challenge.

I always been intrigued by the salvo. My shotguns would need custom work to use it though (not threaded). There is also a bonkers double barrel one. The approvals have been coming quick these days though. I got just a batch approval in 188 days. First one took over 400!

There were several obstacles and props we shot off of, including an ox cart, stomp pads that activated swinging targets,…..and the stages were decorated with life size cutouts to make rough scenario based stuff. The match crew in Thailand put on an excellent competition!

I haven’t mounted the salvo yet, but got a test firing video of my SBS a day or two ago. Next is cerakote. I don’t remember if it was my SBS or my Salvo, but the approval time was 38 days on one of them and not far behind that for the other. I have an MP5 pistol to SBR once it’s here and a SiCo Omega 300 whenever they start shipping from the BOGO sale. Hopefully they’ll be just as fast then!!

New Ruger American gen 2 is out.
A great, cheap no frills rifle that shoots.

Going to grab a 7mm-.08 and 6.5 Grendel I think.
Imao that spiral barrel looks like ass. I like the old one better.

I have a Ruger American Predator in 308, took a buck with it in Nov. Solid gun but the barrel is a little thin for range shooting. Heats up and poi changes.

Think a review I watched said the new barrel was thicker, then machined down. Hence the spiral cut. I’m not too torn up about it.
I‘m glad is still cutting fast twists in these cheaper guns. That 7mm-08 is 1-8.5, most are 1-9 to 1-9.5

I got to thinking about this and found some pictures detailing the end results.

What would happen if you actually were able to get a .357 Magnum round into a .38 and fire it?

Supposedly this...

i bet that hurt... this was part of my excuse for buying a 20 ga. to shoot with my nephew. i didnt want any chance of one of us slipping the wrong shell into the guns. years back i took the state hunters education course and the nra basic course. same instructor for both. i will never forget his safety info. he brought a ruined shot gun to show when he talked about safety with ammo mix ups. someone had put a 20 ga shell into a 12 ga. they tried to fire and it didnt, so they opened the action and no shell came out so they thought they forgot to load any more in the tube... so they loaded it up with 12 ga shells and put one in the chamber. boom boom boom. 12 ga round fired and hit the 20 ga round that had slipped forward into the barrel, 20 ga shell of course went pop and split out the barrel into ribbons of steel and the over pressure from obstruction kicked back into the receiver forcing the action open and sprayed the shooter face with gas smoke and shrapnel. never seen anything like it.

Wasn't the first .357 an .38 the same length an they made the .357 just long enough it wouldn't close in the cylinder?

I got very lucky once shooting .45 Long Colt from a revolver about 15 or so years ago...

As I was shooting through the cylinder of ammo that I had loaded, the cylinder had a little drag as it rotated to the next chamber, and in general, it felt a little off. I am sooooooooo damn lucky I didn't pull the trigger on that next round.

A .454 Casull had somehow gotten mixed up in the box of ammo. I had just bought that ammo the same day from a well-known store down the street. Luckily the lead nose of the projectile drug on the forcing cone of the barrel as the cylinder rotated onto that chamber. I still have the .454 cartridge sitting on a shelf in my home office.

I shudder to think what a .454 Casull would have done
