I sure hope other states don't follow NYs restrictions soon. Slowly but surely legal gun owners have been turned into criminals. Luckily my county has a great Sheriff that won't enforce all the recent regulations over concealed carry that basically make illegal to carry in public places. But then we have the State Police that are pricks about this new law. I see Illinois just adopted similar laws to ours with no though about 2a rights. I am getting worried we are one generation away from national confiscation if gun owners don't all get out to vote and get involved in organizations taking onthis fight.

Got back from Shot Show Saturday morning after a redeye flight. Here is a quick breakdown of my experience:

Monday:
It was exhausting. I was jet lagged Monday night after leaving the house at 0730 ET and getting into my hotel, the Venetian, at 1700 PT - only stayed out to 8pm PT after having a few drinks in the Fiocchi hospitality sweet.

Tuesday:
Up at 0530 PT, on the SHOT floor from 0830 to 1630 ET. Then back to my room to type up notes and mess with the day's photos. I only left the room to get dinner to bring back to my room. I stopped working at 0100 PT and went to bed at 0200 PT Wednesday. Unfortunately I missed a fun private CrossBreed event at Top Golf because I was working. :(

Wednesday:
Dragged ass. Up at 0600 ET, on the show floor from 0830 to 1600 ET. Back to the room to type and work except for dinner, again. At 2300 ET I'm ready to go out and party with my coworker but he stumbles in the room at 2310. My coworker tells me he had a phone conversation with the boss and was told to make sure I don't work Thursday night. I'm asleep by Midnight! Unfortunately I missed a fun private dinner event with Aguila because I was working.

Thursday:
Up at 0600 Et and on the show floor from 0830 to 1630 ET. I grab dinner and meet up with my coworker. We go outside for a taxi and he surprises me by getting the biggest limo he can from the lot - a Hummer H2 stretch. He said he wanted to make sure I had fun and did Vegas the right way. We end up at a place called the Nerd (counter-culture 80s and 90s themed bowling alley/and arcade/bar) for a Leviathan Group private party. I drank a lot. Almost got knocked over by Chuck Liddell. He's actually pretty cool. Great networking happened. Then a taxi to Gilly's Country Western Bar and hung out with some folks from Glock, and drank a lot more. I don't know what time I went back to the hotel. My coworker asked me all night if I was having fun. I truly did, but I guess it didn't show on my face.

Friday:
Up at 0700 ET. Drag ass to the show floor at 0830 ET. Lunch at noon, and then at taxi out to Shelby American arriving at 1300 ET. Shelby American until 1415 ET and then back to the Venetian and Shot show. Ended up in a side hallway working on my laptop until 1645 ET. Taxi to the airport for my redeye flight meant 6 hours at the airport. Flight leaves 1135 PT and arrives in FL 0645 ET Saturday.

It was an exhausting week! I learned a lot and I have a lot of regrets. I shouldn't have worked as hard as I did because I missed a lot of valuable networking opportunity just hanging out and drinking.

On top of that, I'm also sick! The hand sanitizer and Emergenc-C drinks weren't enough! Ughhhhhh I feel like crap!

Did I have a good time? Yes. But I could have had a better time had I not kept stupid work hours.
I'm tired and very sore. I walked 47 miles between Tuesday morning and Friday evening.

The Venetian is a nice hotel and our suite was the bomb!

But the best part?

The firearms community/industry is full of awesome, really nice, patriotic and proud Americans (and foreign visitors!) and I'm proud to have a small part in it!

If you want to see some photos of my experience, some cheesy bad videos or me, and some new products, check out my company's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AmmunitionDepot

Don't laugh at me too hard!
