Yeah, they use salt in this area, but I wouldn't have said that it's "a lot"; there's definitely neighbouring areas that get more snow and ice, so would have to use more of their solution of choice.Excessive corrosion? Do Do they use a lot of salt on your roads?
Stealing this line!??Makes sense now. Probably just seized the turbine shaft to the bearings thus stopping rotation and the no boost. Also kept it from a rapid unscheduled disassembly which would have much messier. They should just replace the oil feed line as a precaution. They can inspect it but I would tell them not to reuse it . I think Chris is on to something with it being coked up and finally seized up. Thanks for sharing the findings.
They use stuff wayyy worse than just salt, they spray a brine solution not unlike what you get after taking all the pickles out of the jar, adding what only God and Greta know for sure to it, and then spray the resulting concoction on the roads. It creeps into every nook and cranny of the vehicle, everything underneath gets exposed to it, causing rot and ruin and people need new vehicles sooner and the cycle continues....Excessive corrosion? Sounds similar. They pretreat the roads with brine then during the storms use mag chloride.Stealing this line!??
