No worries, thanks for the response. Do you happen to have any drawings or dimensions of the final product that you can share?
It’s a pretty crude drawing but I made this for @BC_Express as he was asking for it too. Maybe he can make you a set if he bought enough material for his?

Just getting around to installing my dss bars...dumb question does it matter which way the nut plates go in the bars? Flat side up (towards the top of the step) or flat side down???

@BC_Express did you already make a set of these? Could you make another and I can pay you for them?

I bought some aluminum flat bar from metalsdepot.com.
4x2x3/4.
I just drilled (2) 7/16ths holes 1 1/8 inch down from the top 3/4 inch from each side. But use the brackets as your guide before you drill them out. Honestly it wasn’t difficult.

OK, got the D6's installed. First thing I would say is that they are definitely running boards width wise. It still has a slider look which does give the truck a more rugged appearance. I tried to get a bunch of different angles to get an idea of the width, how far it sticks out, and just how it looks. I think this is only a good option if you have wheels with an offset that stick out further than stock. I have a +20 offset and 18x9 wheels with 285/65's and they are about evenly aligned.

For me I was looking for a step for when I get a roof rack and a little more protection. As a step to get into the truck its probably pointless. I won't use it as a step into the truck and it will take some getting used to feeling it hit the back of my leg when I get out but they should serve their purpose for my needs. I will say there are 2 sets of holes to install them vertically, maybe a half inch apart from each other I'd have to measure, so they can be installed slightly lower than I installed them, very slightly.

What brand and offset are your wheels? The stance is nice. I'm going for that.

They are 18x9 Fuel Rebel 6. These particular pics are with the +20 offset. I have since swapped them out with -12 offset just to get a wider stance. It actually goes much better with the D6's and flares.

Thanks for the response. I Love the way the D6's look but I'll definitely want to widen out the truck to compensate. I wanna be able to get a foot on there, and my 12 year old needs a little step too, with the lift.

It works great as a step. Definitely helps me with a secure extra step when putting the baby seat in the middle seat. Should be useful once I get my roof rack installed as well.

Would you happen to have pictures of how the 3/4 spacers look?

Thanks John .. just getting back to doing this. I don’t understand why the 2 size plates and the threaded holes. I was thinking 1 plate and get longer bolts. But I am sure you have a reason and a plan. Teach me, please.
