So I recently noticed this but have no idea how long it's been going on since it's not something that I would normally look for. My front parking lights don't turn on. The rear parking lights work, the front fender lights work, the DRLs work, the turn signals and hazards work. Every other light on the truck works. The only thing gone dark are the low filaments on the front amber lights. Both of them. I have replaced and also checked continuity and the bulbs are good. Nothing else has been changed or modified. Hoping there may be some sort of driveway fix rather than dropping a deductible at the dealer's. Thanks.

You have a Lariat with LED's correct?

You need to understand that the (Parking) lights on the LED housings are moved to the LED Strip.
LED Strip is dual purpose - Parking (Dim) and DRL (Bright)
DRL only functions when Headlights are not commanded on and the gear lever is in any position except park.

The bulb you are referring is a (Turn Only) bulb (it is still a dual filament) however it is not wired for parking lights (Turn Signal-ONLY)

Airline tech, correct me if I am wrong. On my 2021 Lariat the DRLs are on when the headlights are on as well as when you are in any gear except park if you don't have them turned off through the menu accessed through the steering wheel controls. I have mine turned off except when they go on with the headlights.

Negative- With the As-Built files set as it came from the factory and no changes have been altered - such as include park lights as DRL's.

Then the DRL disables when the Headlights are on so the LED strip changes from Bright (DRL) to (Parking Light (Dim)
Same light bar strip, it only drops power from Pin 6 on the connector, which is DRL Power.

You can do this operational check, with a helper or by yourself, but ensure parking brake is set and will hold the truck from rolling when you get out of the cab.
The parking brake is for safety only, and has nothing to do with the DRL operation.

In daylight, set the parking brake and place the transmission in (Neutral) and place the headlight switch in (Auto)
and visually look at the LED Strip - it should be on and bright. (DRL)
now, move the headlight switch to (Headlights) ON, that LED strip is now dim (Parking)

I believe if you deselect the DRL option in the IPC menu, then in daylight and the switch in (Auto) there would be (zero) light output as all you are doing by changing the selection is turning off the DRL light source.

I considered them on with the headlights because they were lit but you are correct they are in parking light mode.

So the reason they aren't on is because they never were? Interesting. So that would mean that the vehicle has no forward-facing amber marker lights unless I am signaling a turn?

Correct - But this is only for the Lariat LED Headlamp Assemblies, The Halo's have the bulb wired as Park and Turn with the (Low Beam-Headlight) as the DRL, In DRL the Low Beam is dimmed and when headlights are on - The Low Beam = Full Light Intensity.
