Front Cigarette Lighter Smoking Hot ♨️

On our way up to NH I had my laptop plugged into the front cigarette lighter (was the power cord I could get to). When I pulled the plug out it was crazy hot and actually slightly burned a finger with a stern WTF. I think I will survive this “workplace” injury ?, lesson learned and I will use the rear plug in the future.

Is this normal? Or am I a dumbass?!

Have used the plug for the same laptop before in our other car, have never had this happen before.

Not normal. There is no cigarette lighter anymore, but I know you meant to outlet.
