Long Island Iced Tea , yes , it's gay (which is fine) but apparently, it's the "strongest drink " they can legally sell me , plus I told her top shelf on whatever liquors she puts in it , 3 or 4 maybe , then I charmed her into heavy pours ? bottom line, it's horribly strong ? and painful to drink and EXACTLY what I deserve...

Boy it's been a while for this thread. Got into the Christmas spirits tonight with some eggnog and setup the tree.

Damn lights, had 2 strings 1/2 lit so made 1 working one out of them and replaced some other bulbs that were out. After all that I'm 1/2 lit.
Think I posted this picture in the right thread. ?

Well it is Friday and big holiday ahead, snow is blowing and temp is low. No better time to break out the Kirkland eggnog!
I'm warming up a little before heading outside to check codes on a 2010 Fusion with 160k. I suspect it's the same co2 bank 1 code we get when it's really cold out but hasn't appeared for a couple years.
I know when I get back in I'll need another drink!

Edit: Well, nothing like cold to kill a buzz. Was a whole long detour to the second drink but I'm there now. Unfiltered Cider.

You sure that’s not Canadian Breakfast? ?

I think it was @Toytec who called on folks to post their holiday cheer of choice tonight. Here’s mine…

The Ice Wine Martini

2 parts Vodka
1 part Canadian Ice Wine

Shake, pour over a big ice cube, rinse and repeat.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Cool, Thanks for the receipt. Just received two new crystal antique Martini glasses as a gift! And interestingly enough my father is/was Canadian, my mom from OK. Lived in Canada 40% of childhood.
:sunglasses: ?

Perfect timing.

I enjoyed my childhood here - hope you did too!

Ice wine is a crazy thing - they save select rows of vines and wait until they can harvest them at -10°C (14°F) - usually in the middle of the night sometime in January, then they press the frozen grapes at the same temperature, they yield only one single drop of juice per grape and then make this purposely sweet, after dinner wine from the nectar and sell it in small bottles for far too much money - better than port, better than dessert wines, and the name “ice wine” is protected like the Scottish protect the term “scotch”.

If you can’t find Ice Wine, I recommend the Vodka, Eggnog, and Peppermint Schnapps martini.

2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
1 oz. Eggnog

Shake with ice, pour over a giant ice cube, sprinkle with nutmeg, add a cinnamon stick for fun. Kind of like this but in a Martini glass…
