Hi folks,

Long story short, I got my ranger back from the garage for warranty repairs that Include injectors and a new AC condeser due to a leak.

All of a sudden, a new noise has appeared and it is worrying... when revving the engine whether in gear or not, I get this weird LOUD deep buzzing/rattling that goes through the cab, which feels like its from the turbo area of the engine.

Also noted a weird squeeking sound that's a lot more noticeable at lower speeds, again on the right hand (from drivers seat) not sure if related. Can't see anything obvious, but the garage I got it from have been awful and do not want to go back in fear of them messing anything else up.

I've tried to attach a video of this, not sure if it will upload but it is difficult to fully hear on a phone camera

Thanks

John

Hard to say without seeing it, I'm going to guess either the turbo bearings, alternator bearings, or the harmonic balancer. Lesser possibility is the flywheel.

Thanks a lot mate.

I think the video wasn't uploading due to size limits, I've tried to add a compressed one to this reply.

I'm also getting a weird whining noise on acceleration, akin to a boost leak ive had on other vehicles, alongside a weird issue in 1st (occasionally other gears) where the revs will just fly up, as if it's a runaway, stick for a few seconds and then drop when I finally manage to change gear... it screams turbo to me but I'm not sure havinf never owned a Ranger before.
